Congrats, Shannon for earning your PATH 2018 Standards Certificate! We’re excited to have you join us as an instructor soon!
Thank you Pat B. for your continued sponsorship of Pip’s care! Pat has supported Pip for several years, and his generosity has helped LOARC tremendously. Historically, the cost to support a horse was $7,000 per year, but thanks to experienced personnel and improved barn management we have reduced that to $5,000. Thanks again, Pat!
Instructor in Training Shannon Swanson has earned her certificate in Equine Welfare and Management from the University of California at Davis. Congratulations, Shannon!
LOARC has added a partition that creates a safe boundary between the mounting area and the riding area. This visible and sturdy partition shows the continuous commitment to safety first at the center!
Today Lichen Oaks Adaptive Riding Center (LOARC) was presented with a $500 donation by Norma Wilson of the Old Timers Women’s Auxiliary. The donation was the result of a recent fundraiser, and will go a long way in support of our mission to help people with special needs through equine assisted activities. Thank you Old Timers Women’s Auxiliary!
This summer LOARC installed a lift to allow wheelchair access to our viewing room and observation decks.
